I looked at their site, and while I've been misled before, I have a
pretty good track record with snake detection...it doesn't appear to me
that they are either in the sweat-shop or garage industries, ie, they
look pretty professional to my discerning eye.

And after dropping them an email full of questions, the only issues I
have with them at all (without actually touching their output) are that
they're not domestically owned, and I can't be certain yet that their
stenciling paints will hold up in my current operating environments
(Aviation fuel and hydraulic fluids). The first is one that I'd like to
avoid because I see too much foreign tunneling into what's left of
American manufacturing but usually can't do too much without shooting
myself in the foot, the second is one that can only be answered by a
second email that I just sent off to their parent firm and is a
non-negotiable at all times. You wouldn't believe how often I mutter and
groan and have to forego use of this or that cool component because
it'll melt, shatter, ooze, or otherwise disintegrate when presented with
the crud I support. I've grown to hate stainless steel and Rockwell.

Regarding the antiquated output format, it may simply be that their CAM
is proprietary and uses HPGL, or that their free layout software uses
HPGL to thwart re-use of their software for/by another vendor...
(internal conversion from HPGL to another format?)

regards,

aj
