For what it’s worth my new biography of Peirce (230,000 words) has now been submitted to Princeton. Half is on his life. Half a detailed introduction to his ideas. There is one long chapter on nonanglo philosophy of the Americas, including a detailed study of the Nominalism of Brazilian hunter-gatherers (based on my own extensive fieldwork).
I also just published a 365 intro to Peirce’s ideas in Portuguese. Hi Kelly, A number of years ago we created an upper-level, open-source knowledge graph (ontology) called KBpedia<https://kbpedia.org/> that is based on Peirce's universal categories and logic of relations. I am presently undertaking a major update of it. Based on that and client experience, I also wrote of Peirce's importance to knowledge representation and even picked up your term, 'practionary' to title it: A Knowledge Representation Practionary: Guidelines Based on Charles Sanders Peirce<https://www.mkbergman.com/a-knowledge-representation-practionary/>. A pre-release author's version is available in PDF for free download<https://www.mkbergman.com/pubs/akrp/a-kr-practionary.pdf>. It's good insofar as Daniels reads Peirce with respect to ethnographic data. It's not as diagrammatic as John Sowa's various graphs (at all) and so maybe isn't what you are looking for but it is definitely worth reading (it has a direct application, ontologically, within anthropology). Hello list— I’m currently working on an overview of Peirce’s work, and want to include an account of important later developments and applications of his thought. The kind of thing I have in mind are direct applications of Peirce’s ideas, such as John Sowa’s conceptual graphs. I’m interested learning about direct applications of Peirce in any field. I’ll also appreciate references to any published documentation of the connection(s) to Peirce. Thanks much! -- Kelly A.
