Dear Peirce Congress Attendees and Possible Attendees, I am writing with several important updates about the Congress...
1. The *deadline *for reserving a room at the Courtyard Marriott (the Congress's overflow hotel, from which there will be shuttle service to and from the conference hotel) is* two days from now: Wednesday June 25.* After that day, the hotel will release any remaining rooms in our block to the public, and the price will increase by about $60 USD per night. So if you are still in need of a hotel room, please reserve your room as soon as possible! To receive the conference discount rate, use this link: http://tinyurl.com/peirce-marriott 2. At this point, we are not sure whether we will be accepting new registrations at the Congress itself. Registration is limited to 300 people, and as more people are registering every day, we may reach that number of registrants well before the Congress begins. Furthermore, the conference hotel requires that we pay for all Congress-related expenses before the Congress starts, and so we need to receive all registration funds before then. Also, we have to inform the conference hotel of the exact number of banquet attendees (and their entree selections) days before the conference begins, so even we are able to accept new registrations at the Congress, we won't be able to accept new banquet attendees at that point. For all of those reasons, *it is crucially important that all Congress attendees register BEFORE the Congress begins.* If you will be attending the Congress but have not yet registered, *PLEASE *do so as soon as possible and* by no later than June 30*.
