Is a constant tone is a continuous signal or sign or symbol? Indeed, is it true that any constant vibration, whether sonic or electromagnetic, is a continuous sign? Is there is bound on the number of sonic frequencies or on the number of possible electromagnetic frequencies? Of course, any frequency may be accompanied by overtones (resonance frequencies, that is plural tones, so each singular frequency may be accompanied by any number of overtones, may it not? Cheers Jerry
