the Luddites were active exactly within the French Revolution/Napoleon
period, that is between 1785-1812. After the defeat of Napoleon I they mor
or less gradually ceased all existence.
There is a very good book written by a couple of italian authors, which
gets rid of all common sense about the Luddite movement. According to this
work, among aother things Luddites were so sophisticated to be able to
device a plan for invasion of England by the french revolutionary army
starting from Ireland (!?).
The book is obviously in italian language, in case you are interested I can
inquiry.

Best,
