It might not work. One of the great Afghani heroines, fearing that the warriors were about to retreat from a British attack ripped off her black "veil" (forget the proper name) and using it as a flag charged at the British lines only to be shot down. But this act supposedly inspired the Afghans to successfully counterattack. So maybe bin Laden could do the same against the US and/or its allies and become the first androgynous martyr.
