Sounds like a typical cost/beneft, law and economics type of reasoning.
 So how would you go about quantifying the "value" of gun fun against
the "costs" of murders and injuries?

CB:  Yes, a cost/benefit , legal balancing the scales test.  The courts
value lives in civil cases. What if all the victims of shootings' deaths
and injuries were evaluated as in wrongful death suits, and added all
up. Then how would we put a value on the gun fun activities. ?

Now that I think of it, it would just take more regulation of gun
possession.  If gun sports would agree to go through more hoops to get
their sport guns, less of a free market such that we could cut down
drastically on guns being so readily available .
