Let me say this, though: When I
was examining long-term stats on employment, I did not see a single lump of
labour. Doesn’t that make you happy?

BTW – some socialists are real
techno-enthusiasts. See, for example, the painting by Diego Rivera in Mexico
City, Palace of Fine Arts, entitled (in English) “Technique Brings to Man
Mastery of the Universe”. The painting does not say anything about job creation
or destruction (but it has a detail showing a Marx bust with a crucifix
dangling from his neck).
