I don't know about he vs she, but Latinos seem to mix up "know" and
"now" a lot ;-). But don't take my opinion on it -- I am still dealing
with understanding Americans for whom English seems a second
language ;-).
Seriously: I have noticed the "he/she" thing in some Latinos and some
Chinese people also. I am curious: do Spanish and Chinese lack a
neutral gender? Though Hindi-speaking people do not seem to exhibit
the above mix up, I can never get comfortable with the language
(Hindi) due to its gendered nouns -- the verb in a sentence that
describes my action would still be female if the object of my action
is so. Very disconcerting...
