I submit that there is not a sufficient acknowledgment of how revolutionary these changes are. Example you give up personal automobiles, you give up the dream of owning a nice suburban home with lawns and a large backyard with a 20-30 mi commute for work etc etc. -raghu. -- Honk if you love peace and quiet.
