The tension between amateurism and professionalism is interesting. I guess that Tim Russert might represent the epitome of professionalism, which is empty and uninteresting. On the other hand, the idea of a community radio station suggests some people that virtually anybody in the community should have right to a certain amount of air time. Of course, bandwidth is limited.
Pacifica has a long tradition of nurturing people who become very successful professionals in the broadcast industry. Talent is obviously there. Surely there must be a way that a radio station could use some time to promote various programs that could broadcast in podcasts. -- Michael Perelman Economics Department California State University Chico, CA 95929 Tel. 530-898-5321 E-Mail michael at ecst.csuchico.edu michaelperelman.wordpress.com _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
