A worse short-term mistake, made by many dear comrades (no names now), is to assume that because the working class is terribly weak, capitalism is terribly strong.

So they pooh-pooh the idea of internal capitalist contradictions and were left utterly unprepared to take advantage of this situation. If marxists sometimes tend to fall into two camps, class-strugglist and capital-logic, then this is a time the latter can do some good.
