Presumably, and there is some truth to that, we the graduates of Bogazici University Mechanical Engineering department are among the brightest in the country. What kind of brightness is this, I do not know? Yet none of my fellow graduates came out and said anything after what happened, although all of them knew what happened, at least those who were in that list, including several of my former professors, one of which was my masters thesis advisor, and several current professors of Bogazici University Mechanical Department, including a friend who was a classmate! Indeed, almost everybody at the leading public and private Turkish universities know what happened to me, yet they are sitting tight, so to speak. What is more interesting is that, one graduate of my department who is about two to three years junior to me, who happened to be an associate professor at the Business School at Bilkent when this happened, who by the way was one of my students when I was a TA/RA at Bogazici University Mechanical Engineering department in the mid-1980s, said the following, as I heard from sources I will not disclose: He never liked me anyway, even in the 1980s, so he was not that worried of the outcome!
