Irony? Isn't that the entire enterprise of teaching (and/or culturally reproducing via degrees, tenure, and Nobel prizes) "the dismal science"?

The full page ad on the back of the section is headlined: "HERE'S TO LESS" and the advertiser is -- wait for it -- De Beers diamonds. The full page ad on page 5 is for An Executive Conference titled "ECO : nomics", subtitled CREATING ENVIRONMENTAL CAPITAL at the BACARA RESORT in Santa Barbara, California.
