We have it.  It's called Social Security.  Like Robert Eisner, of course,
we could have "more, not less."  Albeit without the general fund part.

Of course the Gov is not going to ride in like the cavalry and provide
an additional pension to some particular group of workers.  Any relief
would be in some kind of convoluted form, such as we are witnessing.
