Carrol's low-temperature note was very interesting, comparing labor to 
prostitution rather than comparing prostitution to labor. Even our language 
hints at degradation in capital-labor relations: capital gives jobs, while 
humble workers must take jobs.

There are differences of course. Prostitutes face coercion that other 
workers never experience. Because prostitution is illegal, sex workers do 
not have access to legal protections available to many other workers.
