I wouldn't expect you to endorse the articles. In essence various cultures seem to vary in relative numbers and attitudes toward homosexuality. So in that regard while I know gay culture in the U.S. I don't know gay culture in Japan. Japan being somewhat more open about gay life than say the U.S. There is an interesting cultural aspect of that in Japanese movies for example.

That said I don't know much of Indian attitudes toward gay life. So I would find it interesting for someone who does to comment on the articles in a knowledgeable fashion.
