Of course his corruption has nothing to do with his fitness to rule. Karzai was just as corrupt when he was the darling of the west. The real problem is that he is now a very bad puppet and also that there is now a problem convincing American taxpayers that they should be sacrificing lives and tax dollars to keep the Afghan campaign going. That is why by fiat the US and other countries have anounced that although the corruption needs to be cleared up the Karzai government is legitimate and Karzai even to be congratulated on his historic election win!
