It seems to me that the state has largely taken over the lynching function.
If you look at sentencing practice, at who fills the prisons, if you realize that 1/3 of the black male population is being cycled through the prison system and therefore out of civil society: no jobs, no voting rights....you might want to ask what if anything the SPLC is doing about that. Because it is far more dangerous to black folks
