I have just read the fine piece by Robert Pollin and Jeffrey Thompson
circulated through "Truth-Out" last week "The Betrayal of Public Workers"
In response, I just wrote a note to Bob Pollin that I would like to share with
the list:
Just a short note to congratulate you on the VERY good article on public sector
workers that was just forwarded to me -- It is in the best tradition of
political economics. I hope that it is given wide circulation; together with
the Krugman piece in the NYTimes today (far less clear than yours) -- it
clearly shows the nature of class warfare in the USA right now.
Although I cannot follow everything posted on Pen-L this is an analysis that
merits wide distribution and discussion. From the perspective of Mexico, where
this process happened too long ago, I hope that you in the USA take seriously
the nature of the assault currently underway
