I, too, favor what is basically a social-democratic program. Some Keynesians did apply their theories to poor nations during the 1950s, but it didn't get far. Among others, Samir Amin (in his ACCUMULATION ON A WORLD SCALE) explains why standard Keynesianism doesn't work well at all in economically-dependent countries.
