[Pen-l] Youth unemployment in Europe

In June 2011, more than five million young people between 15 and 24
years in the European Union were unemployed. The rate of youth
unemployment in the European Union amounts to 20.5%. By far the highest
youth unemployment rate is reported from Spain, where in June nearly half
(45.7%) of the youth aged 15-24 years were unemployed.
Member states where the youth unemployment rate has been doubled or
nearly doubled since April 2008:
Lithuania, +178.6 %
Latvia, +177.6 %
Ireland, +149.1 %
Estonia, +148.8 %
Cyprus, +122.7 %
Spain, +103.1 %
Bulgaria, +92.3 %
Greece, +80.8 %.
