"Benevolent dictator" yeah, right. In other words, when you buy an Apple device you don´t buy a tool, you buy an "experience". Imagine a VCR or DVD player that "spits out" a movie because the device maker doesn´t like the kind of movies the owner decides to watch. That´d be a "walled garden". Reminds me of Microsoft´s clippy: "It looks like you´re writing a letter..."
