thanks for the link. It's well worth reading. it's interesting (to me, at least) that Hitchens' writing (in the NATION) became much less beautiful for awhile in 2002. He was quite muddled Then he decided he supported the war against Iraq and suddenly his style improved and his clarity returned to normal.
