It is kinda hard to believe that they'll actually start a 
war -- though really, the Israelis are capable of anything, and one 
certainly shouldn't regard it as impossible that the Lobby 
could drag Uncle Sugar in to back 'em up. 

Perhaps what the US is mostly looking for is a pretext for 
more sanctions, more political isolation, etc. The Cuba 
treatment. Any state that escapes from cliency must be 
punished until it returns.
