------------ BTW I was agreeing with the main thrust of your blog. My point was education within an existing political process.... I'd already forgotten this arguement. It was in a discussion of tactics between Lenin and Trotsky during the spring of 1917 after February over participating in the political process the social democrats had set up. The Bolshiviks used the process to argue against continuing the war and the social democrats argued continuing for reasons of nationalism, etc. The real issue was the Allies were sending money to keep the Russian government from collapse only because they needed the Eastern Front to pin down German troops....
