------------ We, the outside reader, really need more context here. Who are these guys so hell bent in support of the good Friar Chagnon who after all got run out of Venezula. He was about as bad as the Spanish ecclesiastical authorities of the 17th and 18th centuries. Didn't Werner Herzog make movies about him?
