That's great! Has anyone on pen-l made the switch?

I recently visited someone in Los Angeles who had just had solar
panels installed. He said it didn't cost him a dime. There's a company
that collects the various government subsidies on your behalf. You
sign over your subsidies to the company, and they do everything else.
He said that he expects 80-90% of the net electricity needs of the
house to be met by solar. Of course, he lives in Los Angeles. But a
lot of people live in Los Angeles.
