Yesterday, Ernesto Villegas, Venezuelan ministry of information, answered somebody from the press, pressing him on the apparent weirdness of the funeral decisions, with something like this: "Do you think we had the funeral details planned in advanced? No! We had all our energies focused on keeping president Chávez alive!" This may sound improbable to people conditioned in a culture that views improvisation as failure or, worse, that cannot see beyond individualistic cynicism, but this -- at face value -- makes much sense to me. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
