No, the problem is that the Paul Davidson in USA TODAY is the author
of the article (identified as a journalist working for USA TODAY), not
the esteemed professor, who is unlikely to dabble in journalism or
write like a journalist. If it were an op-ed, the two fellows with the
same name could be the same individual.

BTW, I wonder if "Stephen Allen," identified as "an oil industry
contractor in St. Louis" is the same fellow who used to host the
Tonight Show on late-night TV?
