People should not be allowed to take an existing name of a living
person. There should be a central, world-wide database that prevents
repeated names from being registered.

In the case of a conflict, the system would suggest adding numbers to
the end of the name, as in MSN or AOL screen name sign up screens,
thus, nobody would mistake Stephen Allen with Stephen.Allen178. ;-)
