I suppose you're right, unfortunately.  "If I'm not doing anything wrong, why 
should I be particularly concerned about being watched as a necessary evil in 
the fight against terrorism?" The administration will also have the support of 
some liberals who will reflexively defend Obama against the Republican right's 
exploitation of the issue. Rand Paul is said to be planning a class action suit 
against the NSA. Obama is probably relishing the opportunity to defend the NSA 
and to appear stronger on national security issues than his right-wing critics.
