Dear Louis: It isn't as bad as you think to drink that "glop" and the alternative -- a painful experience with colon cancer --- is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Sorry to act like a Dutch uncle but once you're over 50 you've GOT to start getting these! [done it twice so far and it really isn't that bad --- you just make the stuff VERY COLD and drink it through a straw - and "chase" it with GInger Ale]
