I've got more implants than I can count. I have three in my upper jaw (used not 
to hold a denture in place). In the 1980s & '90s they weren't quite that 
expensive, & (up to now) faculty insurance at ISU has been pretty good.

Implants will actually strengthen the jaw by keeping the bone from receding. 
It's more 

important than the appearance. I almost delayed getting my implant too long.
