Louis Proyect says that he learned of Palley's review from a banker friend, who
is of the left and who has figured Piketty out even if I would have assumed he
would have agreed with Piketty. I don't get the point. This friend has not
reviewed the book, correct? So what can I or anyone say about him. Louis,
please explain. And what has the friend figured out? The flaws in neoclassical
growth theory? I should hope so if he is a man of the left. Or perhaps left is
being so broadly construed here as to include Krugman and everyone at least as
left as he is. Which would of course include Piketty himself.
