That's how I read the blog post by Louis Proyect (who I assume you consider
to be a Marxist) at the head of this thread. An exact quote: "we need a
socialist movement, not a food movement". Also see the bizarre hostility
towards people like Eric Schlosser and Michael Pollan.

I couldn't agree more.

Btw is there a detailed analysis from Marx about exploitation of animals? I
know that there are throwaway comments here and there, but I would be very
interested in reading an extended analysis if there is one.
