There probably isn't a consistent moral approach to diet and agriculture. 

There needs to be enought food to keep the human population healthy. 

It is important that most species of plants and animals not go extinct because 
they 
provide us with food, shelter, and a stable environment. 

A coworker said that he was a vegetarian because he didn't like the taste of 
meat. 

Another friend said that she didn't eat the meat from animals that had faces. 

Obtaining milk from cows and goats doesn't harm those animals. 

Eggs and milk are efficient ways to convert grain and hay to concentrated 
protein food. 

Humans have always cooked their food. Fire enabled pre-humans to evolve with a 
small gut.
