This is ridiculous from the beginning. "People" in Michael's post utterly 
obfuscates any useful political discussion.

We (the yet non-existent Left) don't give a shit about what some 70% of the 
population thinks or doesn't think at this time. We care about the two or three 
percent that can be reached now believe. Three percent, remember, means 9 
million plus. Think about what a movement of even half that number would mean.

Of course most are opposed to us now. If that bothers you, get out of politics 
because you can only spread confusion.

I have been trying very hard to understand the logic of this: why is choosing 
not to vote a good strategy for anyone?
