I suppose it won't make much difference who is elected in 2016, and certainly the votes of pen-l readers will not affect the outcome. I at least will resist temptation to vote for Walker, though a Walker presidency might be the trigger for developing an actual left in the U.S.
Austerity and Endless War are a given of the human future until powerful left movements develop in both the U.S. and the EU: and that is necessary _even_ for moderate social-democratic reform, not just to end capitalism.
