Charlie, you really don't know what you are talking about. You might have written a book on Marxist economics but I was president of the board of Tecnica, a technical aid project that was in constant contact with Paul Oquist, Daniel Ortega's Yanis Varoufakis. For "peripheral" countries, there are often irreconcilable contradictions that no amount of Marxist theory can overcome. Naturally, this is a function of the problematic of "building socialism" within the borders of any country except for some industrial powerhouse like Germany or the USA, which was Marx and Engels's focus.
