I agree, from all my personal experience, research and articles that the academic left is virtually dead in the water when it comes to defending iconoclasts like Churchill. . . .

I''ve read and used much of Churchill's work in my classes (love his Fantasies of the Master Race. . .which dissects the Hollywood dream factory's imaging of Native Americans). . .love also his CD in which he talks about Cointelpro and the importance to use language in such a way so as to not be outright seditious. . . .we need to defend higher education as a site for a critical countersphere of democratic inquiry. . .see Giroux on this. . .
