I also a qualitative difference between Nazism and fascism. Hitler was Mussolini doubled or even squared. The likelihood of fascism's return is also much higher than that of Nazism. BTW, I think that one reason why the left has sputtered is that some people jump at the Nazi or fascist analogy.
