Pen-L, I've commented on this before and feel the need to say it again. Myself and others I've spoken to have had to unsubscribe because of VOLUME of Pen-L messages. I'm on for now, but I see the Fall semester arriving next week. PLEASE limit messages to matters of substance, not trivial or personal messages, i.e., try to see your message from the point of view of persons outside the immediate interchange you're in and consider whether 300 persons (or whatever the number is) need to see it. Consider a reply only to the individual sender.
