Yeah? izatso? I'll bite. They didn't call osama on the hotline y'know? (Although ubl's people had wes clark's satcellie # in kosovo...) I could build a list of people we almost never hear about... almost... Doug Feith, does 'Perle' ring a bell? Kristol... It's a long list... I'll stop there. These people aren't 'clumsy', they are operating within a power structure that, CURRENTLY, blocks, exposes, indicts.... etc. and that's JUST government, shadow government and quasi-governmental bodies such as neof... con thinktanks. I'll leave private sector interests such as the burgeoning "Security" industry out of this. To a large extent, over the last so many years (and this is also an indictment of the Clinton administration) they have set a course in US foreign policy regarding the muslim world and third world that allowed 9/11 to happen, *NAY*, invited it... The "form' was unknowable, but THEY KNEW THEIR POLICY WAS PROVOCATIVE AND ENDANGERED AMERICAN CITIZENS AROUND THE WORLD. They supplied weapons, training, money, anything that was needed, to their 'soldiers' in Somalia, Afghanistan, other pleasure pits... and their soldiers turned on them for varieties of reasons that we will most likely never hear about. AM I making it clear? These people are the real terrorists! 9/11 or not. Their interest in whatever... energy security... outweighs the overall interests of the future of their nation, which makes them essentially traitors trying to divert the blame to other parties they managed to screw during their tenure at the helm of foreign policy. Why DIDN'T George the Elder push on to Baghdad? Because he and his oilco buddies calculated the risk to their business from any potential major destabilization of the oil market. Iran offline anyone? There's no way to cover the shortfall in production. Their calculations left Saddam in place, but de-fanged, and not capable of presenting a regional threat again. Junior's bunch think they know better, can "do" it better, faster, leaner, meaner...but they're wrong, and they don't care. They don't care if we think they're clumsy either.
