In one sense, yes.  On the other hand, (formerly and actually
existing) socialist countries eventually adopted homo/bi/hetero
identities (first persecuting them as perversions, and then gradually
assimilating them, just as Western capitalist nations did), so once
such identities become hegemonic, their diffusion apparently do not
depend on the dominance of private ownership of means of production in
a given nation.  That gives me a hope that a majority of the world
that have yet to adopt them may conceivably get to proletarianize and
urbanize themselves without adopting sexual identity politics,
developing a new way of enjoying sex in freedom and equality instead.
