"Crisis" seems misleading here, as is "abject." The latter assumes that
the DP _wants_ to mount a challenge but fears to do so. And as to
"crisis" -- crisis for whom, where? Currently all seems well for the
ruling class.

I don't think you can conclude that from my words at all. It is a *failure*
if a party refuses to follow through on its promises. On whether there is a
political crisis. There certainly is. The voters now give the president and
congress a 32 percent approval rating. This might not translate into
barricades, but this is not a normal state of affairs for a parliamentary
democracy.
