Doyle;
The metaphysics of agreement is beyond the scope of resolution just as
a generalization would be for an individual like me. But the
underlying conflict between metaphysical positions is an emotion
connection issue. Automation of emotional connection in conflict is
about setting the stability of concepts in the community. A
generalization really rests upon the size of agreement in a community.
Automation can address that, and what is unique about a networked
computing society is that 'emotion' can be manufactured by a machine in
order to meet connection needs in the community. In essence deal with
the scale problem of face to face emotional connection. The avenue for
that is the face based avatar. For an example of an avatar I created
yesterday see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/

See the Doyle set in which I sketch my own character of my own face and
ascribe specific scenarios to the face. That can be automated and used
to 'connect' people emotionally on a very large scale.
