Nanny here. This discussion has become a debate about a debate.

Let me ask a few simple questions.

Does Israel abuse the Arabs?

If it does, should people be free to discuss it? Should supporters of Sudan
have the
right to shut down people is who are concerned about Darfur?

The supporters of Israel are not unique in this. Defenders of Turkey have also
been
successful at times shutting down discussion of Armenia. But then, it may be
anti-Semitic to equate any other ethnic cleansing with the Holocaust.

The curious position proposed here is that it is no violation of free speech to
have
people lose their jobs because they take a position that is not sympathetic to
the
policies of Israel.

I doubt that anybody has ever lost a job in this country for taking the
position in
favor of what is commonly called "free enterprise." If, however, the country
should
take a turn to the left, but that position be justified?

Whether Jim or Doug equated Israel with Nazi Germany is irrelevant. I should
mention
some people in Israel -- Jewish people -- do call Israel an Aparteid state.
Are
they anti-Semitic?
