I live in a congressional district that is protected -- a trade off to the Republicans for leaving an LA Democratic district alone. I registered Republican a few years back so I could vote against the incumbent twice per season. So my ballot gives me the Republican choices as well as an opportunity for write-in. I wrote in Ralph Nader. I have never voted for anyone I didn't actually want, although I once voted for Lyndon Johnson, but that was a beginner's mistake.
If I had been registered Democrat I would've voted the same way, rather than choose between Condoleeza Lite and Kerrey Dark. Dan Scanlan
