RH 6.1 has been said to have lots of little quirks. I won't be surprised if 
this is one of them. What I usually do is upgrade the RPMs as they come out. 
It's about the same as getting a new CD. I use Mandrake now, so I gave up on 
RH releases. Mandrake is based on RH, but it's a little easier to use. 7 
sucked, I still like my 6.1 best. X was slow on 7, so I don't know what went 
wrong. I'll probably figure it out sometime over break. If you could try the 
module on another system, by all means try it. I'm using the latest snapshot 
for SB Live on a Mandrake 6.1 with 2.2.14 kernel I downloaded from 
kernel.org and it works fine. Same goes to the RH6.0 system at work. I 
didn't bother with 6.1 when I heard of the bad ISO and install script. I 
hope this helps.
